Tom Muzzey, PhD

Co-Founder, Partner, COO & Board Member

Dr. Tom Muzzey's success is rooted in a lifetime of entrepreneurial endeavors and various leadership roles. He has spent over three decades in the construction and land development industry, where he honed his skills in structuring complex deals and achieving positive financial outcomes for all parties involved. Tom specialized in the poured concrete and multi-family home sectors of the construction industry in and around the St. Louis metropolitan area. His success allowed him to pursue his passion in agriculture, primarily focusing on crop production and the genetic improvement of his seed stock operation.

For the last ten years of his educational career, Dr. Muzzey served as the superintendent of the Orchard Farm School District in St. Charles, Missouri. During his tenure, he implemented key improvements, particularly in developing a long-term strategic plan. A cornerstone of this plan enabled Tom to secure $180 million in funding to construct a series of new facilities over six years. His collaborative efforts culminated in the building of a new high school and athletic complex that will serve the district for many years to come.

After retiring from education in 2022, Dr. Muzzey became involved in the medical cannabis industry in Missouri. He leveraged his business experience, agricultural knowledge, and capital-raising expertise to successfully obtain a full complement of licenses in the state. Tom served as the CEO during the early years, spearheading a capital raise of $52 million to develop all 11 company locations. As the industry evolved with the passage of adult-use legislation, he stepped down from the CEO role to concentrate on business development and lead growth strategies for the company. Over the past two years, the company has expanded to become the fourth largest in Missouri and has plans for further growth.

Dr. Muzzey is a strong advocate for community involvement, having most recently served as the president of the Greater Saint Charles County Chamber of Commerce and as a board member of the Saint Charles City Economic Development Committee.
